Williamson and Tyndall 2013

In June 2013, I teamed up with a couple of partners to attempt two of California's highest peaks: 14,019-foot Mount Tyndall and14,375-foot Mount Williamson. Famous for their grueling approach, Williamson and Tyndall would require 30 miles and 9,000 feet of elevation gain. For me, the attempt would represent a step outside my comfort zone and give me a glimpse into the larger world of Sierra mountaineering.  The long approach, big climbs, cross-country, scrambling, certain pain, and uncertain success ensured that this adventure had everything.
